Our Story
Santos and Virginia Benitez met while working in restaurants in Houston, Texas in 1980 and married at the Harris County Courthouse in 1981. Santos worked in several Houston restaurants over his career, starting at Los Tios Mexican Restaurant on Beechnut, and Marco's, and Two Pesos in Bellaire and Hillcroft. Mom Virginia also worked at Two Pesos and El Patio on Westheimer in the 80s. (read more)

Meet the family
The Benitezes are the living essence of la familia. The restaurant began with Carlos’ parents, and grew from there. Today, he runs the restaurant with his brothers and mom, with joy in his heart and a smile on his face.
Carlos Garcia"Don Carlos"
The leader of our pack, Carlos has been in the restaurant business for over 20 years. After leaving the military in 1998, Carlos began working with his parents in the restaurant in Somerville. His charisma and laughter brought him out of the kitchen and onto the floor, making friends out of customers, and family out of strangers.
